FIGHT FOR LOVE – Scott Krippayne
FIGHT FOR LOVE marks the 10th release from acclaimed singer-songwriter Scott Krippayne. After four years of focusing primarily on songwriting for other performers, as well as film and television, Scott steps back into the artist arena, delivering a project filled with the infectious melodies and thoughtful lyrics that have become his trademark over the years.
“This record is a collection of songs about the ups, downs, joys, difficulties, and hard work of love. It’s born out of gratitude for the perfect love of a Heavenly Father and almost 18 years of marriage to my amazing wife, Katy,” says Krippayne.
From the simple joys of “Sun Just Shine,” to the startling honesty found in the tender “When You Cry,” this album takes you on a journey that explores the many corners of life and love. You’ll get lost in the soaring melody of “Beautiful Escape” and then find yourself singing along “at the top of your lungs” with the powerful “What If.”
Also included on this 14-song project is a stunning acoustic version of the 2010 BMI Christian Song of The Year, “What Faith Can Do” – a song originally recorded by Kutless, co-written by Krippayne.
As this engaging compilation comes to a close, the title cut, “Fight For Love,” inspires and encourages us to search for common ground and never give up on love. “Every day is a choice – a choice to both give the gift of love and receive it. Loving well is not without its challenges, but it’s most definitely worth the fight,” muses Krippayne.
Top to bottom, this solid collection of real-life songs is a must-have for your music library – and it even includes a tribute song to Billy Joel and Elton John (two of Scott’s early influences) as a bonus track. So sit back, kick off your shoes, and let the music and the message of this remarkable release touch your heart and soul.
